Now present your personal intentions
After this adoration, pause in silence and name your concrete needs before God in your mind, or speak them in a soft voice. Asking this way, with humility and surrender, is also adoration.
«Pedid, y se os dará» (Mt 7, 7). «Todo lo que pidiereis al Padre en mi nombre, os lo concederé» (Jn 14, 13-14). Esta promesa es real. Pero pedir «en el nombre de Jesús» no es una fórmula mágica ni una clave de acceso: significa pedir conforme a quién es Él y a lo que Él querría. Por eso San Juan mismo lo aclara: «si pedimos alguna cosa conforme a su voluntad, él nos oye» (1 Jn 5, 14). Jesús en Getsemaní pidió con fe perfecta y en el nombre correcto — y la respuesta no fue lo que pedía en sus propios términos, sino algo más grande. Dios siempre responde a quien pide con fe: a veces «sí», a veces «espera», y a veces «te doy algo mejor de lo que pediste» — porque Él ve lo que nosotros no vemos.
Y hay algo más: pedir así — reconociendo que sin Su voluntad ni una hoja se mueve (Mt 10, 29-31) — ya es en sí mismo un acto de adoración. No son dos cosas separadas, primero admirar y después pedir aparte: cuando pides reconociendo que el control es de Dios y no tuyo, esa misma petición se vuelve alabanza. Por eso este movimiento no rompe el clímax de admiración anterior — lo continúa. Pedir con humilde confianza es también inclinarse ante Quien todo lo sostiene.
"Ask, and it will be given to you" (Mt 7:7). "Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do" (Jn 14:13-14). This promise is real. But asking "in the name of Jesus" is not a magic formula or an access key: it means asking in keeping with who He is and what He would want. That is why Saint John himself clarifies it: "if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us" (1 Jn 5:14). Jesus in Gethsemane asked with perfect faith and in the right name — and the answer was not what he asked for on his own terms, but something greater. God always answers the one who asks in faith: sometimes "yes," sometimes "wait," and sometimes "I give you something better than you asked for" — because He sees what we cannot.
And there is something more: asking this way — recognizing that without His will not even a leaf falls (Mt 10:29-31) — is itself already an act of adoration. These are not two separate things, first admiring and then asking apart from it: when you ask while recognizing that the control belongs to God and not to you, that very petition becomes praise. That is why this movement does not break the climax of admiration before it — it continues it. To ask with humble trust is also to bow before the One who sustains everything.

Father, thank You for holding me up today though I do not deserve it. Jesus, thank You for Your Cross that already paid what I could not. Holy Spirit, kindle in me the same fire that moves You, and grant me the grace I need today to live as Your child.

Santos y santas de Dios, que ya conocéis el camino, alcanzadme la perseverancia que a mí me falta. Presentad ante el trono de Dios a quienes amo, a quienes sufren, y las intenciones que hoy llevo en el corazón sin decirlas en voz alta.
Saints of God, who already know the way, obtain for me the perseverance I lack. Present before God's throne those I love, those who suffer, and the intentions I carry in my heart today without speaking them aloud.
